- On the proposal of Jacques de Chateauvieux, the Board of Directors of BOURBON has separated the functions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, as of January 1st, 2011.
Jacques de Chateauvieux, previously President and CEO of BOURBON, remains Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee is now composed of:- Christian Lefèvre, Chief Executive Officer

- BOURBON thus affirms its position as a “pure player” in offshore oil and gas marine services.
- BOURBON sells its entire holding in Sucrerie de Bourbon Tay Ninh, in Vietnam.
- BOURBON sells its Bulk Freight Operator activity.
- BOURBON sells 16 bulk carriers to Genco Shipping and Trading Ltd.
- BOURBON announces its new “BOURBON 2015 Leadership Strategy” strategic plan.
- BOURBON owns 100% of the share capital of its Brazilian subsidiary Delba Martima, owned in a joint-venture until then.

- BOURBON announces its new strategic plan BOURBON Horizon 2012 and confirms its ambition to be leader on the modern offshore marine services market.
- The BOURBON Company for salvage and protection of the French coast changes its name. "Les Abeilles International" becomes "Les Abeilles".
- BOURBON sold its interest in the Rigdon companies on July 1st.
- 2007
- BOURBON confirms its leadership position in modern offshore oil and gas marine services, with a fleet of an average age of 6.5 years.
- BOURBON sells its port towage activity and acquires DNT Offshore, operator of subsea ROVs.
- 2006
- BOURBON is selected for the SBF 120 Index.
- BOURBON completes its strategic plan a year ahead of schedule and announces its new goals in the BOURBON Horizon 2010 plan.
- 2005
- Groupe Bourbon reaffirms its marine identity and becomes BOURBON.
- 2004
- Euronext classes Groupe Bourbon in the "Offshore oil and gas marine services" sector.
- 2003
- A 5-year development policy and investment plan is launched.
- Groupe Bourbon successfully establishes its position as a key player in marine services for offshore oilfields in Brazil and on the west coast of Africa.
- 2002
- Groupe Bourbon takes over Havila Supply AS. The company changes its name to "Bourbon Offshore Norway"
- 2001
- Groupe Bourbon refocuses on marine services and gradually withdraws from its non-strategic operations.
- 2000
- Groupe Bourbon sells its "milk and fruit juices" business to focus on developing marine services and, more particularly, marine services to offshore oilfields.
- 1998
- Groupe Bourbon is listed for trading on the Second marché of the Paris Stock Exchange.
- 1996
- Groupe Bourbon further consolidates its future in marine services with the takeover of Les Abeilles, the towage company, and Setaf-Saget the specialised dry bulk marine transportation company.
- 1989
- The Bourbon group diversifies its activities in the food-processing business, then in retail and marine services.
- 1948-1978
- In Reunion Island, Groupe Bourbon produces sugar and rum mainly for export to metropolitan France.
- 1948
- Set-up of Sucreries de Bourbon, which rapidly becomes the leading sugar group on Reunion Island.
