BOURBON Safety Key Performance Indicators
To measure the Group’s performance in terms of Safety, the group has established a barometer of “Key Performance Indicators” (KPIs) :
- TRIR (Total Recordable Injury Rate)
TRIR is calculated by the number of lost time, restricted work and medical treatment cases x 1,000,000 then divided by the total hours worked - LTIR (Lost Time Incident rate)
LTIR is calculated by the number of lost time cases x 1,000,000 then divided by the total hours worked
These indicators serve to accurately and reliably measure progress made in the quest to prevent personal injury. Regular monitoring of results enables progressive evaluation of safety performance. For the third consecutive year, these results have shown that BOURBON has achieved continual improvements in the safety of personnel, increasing the safe delivery of operations.
Objectives for 2011:
- LTIR objective is maintained at ZERO
- TRIR objective has been reduced to 0.70 (from 0.75 in 2010)
Basis: KPI measurements are aligned with OCIMF measurement guidelines of 24-hour work days and one millions hours worked
